Where Have I Been

Hello Everyone

This post is going to be an update to where I have been for the last four months since I last wrote on my blog. Firstly I want to say a big sorry for not being around for the last four months but they have been a roller-coaster and I am afraid that my blog took the back burner.

To start with I lose my job due to illness and then had to fight the company (not going to mention the company on here) to get them to admit they were in the wrong by getting rid of me. This took a long time and after a few months I manage to get them to admit they were wrong and was given my old job back but to be then informed my old job was already taken and to work within the company again I would be place within a department that had a vacancy. So I was not a happy bunny and started looking for a new job.

Having no job meant having no money which was a problem as I booked a holiday to Cornwall with my boyfriend, cousin and her boyfriend before I lost my job but I could not cancel the holiday has we already paid for everything so I still went to Cornwall but did not do half the things we had planned to do which wasn't good. So we will be going back to enjoy it correctly.

In August was also my boyfriends and my birthday, I reached the big 25th but it wasn't the best birthday as I didn't have my boyfriend around as he was on a work training week in Hull but my friends sure did make up for it love to them all.

Then came October the best month of 2012 after a few different interviews of a range of job, I was offered a part time customer service assistant role for a local supermarket which I snap up straight away and which has now turned into a full time job due to someone leaving and pay day is Friday so Christmas shopping here I come.

Also in October there was loads of celebrations within the family in-law including a family reunion with family members from Canada, two 21st birthdays (twins) and family meal, which was brilliant especially the free bar at the 21st birthday party.

So again I am sorry but hopefully now life as been sorted I can get back to what I love and enjoy every moment.

Here is some pictures from the last few months:

Recent Charity Shop Haul

Good Afternoon

I have recently being loving charity shopping more then actually shopping but I do agree with athriftymrs that lately charity shops have increased there prices and now you are some times better of buying the product from the store for a few extra pounds to get it brand new, especially with things from stores such as Primark and George at Asda who are cheap already.

But I have still managed to find some things that made me apart with my cash the little I have so here is what I brought.

Was £3

This top looks better on then off, it was original from Next and is brilliant with the weather we are having here in the UK as its light and is easy to layer things with. I was first draw to the top due to the flower print as I love any thing with a floral prints and I am glad I brought this as it goes brilliant with jeggings.

Was £4.25

Another floral print item but this time in the form of a dress. This is also brilliant for this weather as it is light weight and easy to layer. The dress was also original from Next it was a day to find good things in charity shops from Next.

Was £3.99

Me and wedges have a bit of a love/hate relationship I love them but most wedges hate me especially my toes. So due to this I don't spend to much money on wedges as I know after a while they will start hurting my little toes and in turn normally means I will stop wearing them or give them to family and friends. I love these wedges which are original from Accessorize and so far so good they have not hurt my toes.

Was £4.99

I love these shoes and so glad I found these. They are orginial from Marks and Spencers and the reason I love them so much is the fact they fit me like a glove which never happens with me and shoes they are ever to big or just a little small.

Couple of thing I would suggest when buying shoes from charity shoes is one try them on has you have  to remember some one else as worn them first and also I would suggest checking the shoes over and see if there is any repairs needed and if so how much will it cost you.

Have you been shopping in a charity shop lately?
What do you think about charity shops increasing their prices?

Glamour with Benefit

Hello I know I should told you all about this at the beginning of the month which I do apologise for not doing. But I though I better tell you anyway before the month is out. The thing I am on about is the partnering between this months Glamour magazine and Benefit cosmetics.

There is three different front covers this month with three different benefit cosmetics.
The front covers are that of Eva Longoria (Above) Kylie Minogue and Fern Cotton and the three benefit cosmetics on offer are 'The POREfessional', 'That Gal' and 'BADgal Lash Mascara'.

I got 'That Gal' which is a face primer and is one of benefits to sellers. At full size this retails for £21.50 where with Glamour the sample size is only £2 a saving of £19.50, which is always good in my book.

I like trying a sample size of cosmetics that are over £10 as I believe if you don't like the product then you are wasting your money on cosmetics you will not use and sample size are brilliant to take away on holiday as they don't take up to much room in your bag.

So have you brought Glamour and if so what Benefit cosmetic did you get?

After I wrote this my mummy came home with another Glamour magazine for me and this time came with 'BADgal Lash Mascara' thank you mummy and I will be using this want I go on holiday this summer.

My Jubilee Outfit

Hello, hope you all had a wonderful weekend and if you are from the UK you have enjoyed having the two extra days of work. I know my boyfriend enjoyed them dearly but wasn't happy this morning mind when the alarm went off at 5.3o am.

I still can't believe HRH Queen Elizabeth II has been our queen for 60 years I can't imagine anyone else being in the same job role for 60 years. But this weekend as shown how much people in the UK love their queen with celebrations everywhere.

On Monday I went to my family in law jubilee garden party and typically UK weather it decided to rain but lucky enough they thought about that and had everything undercover and heaters left, right and centre.

So with this in mind I decided to wear this, sorry about the face expressions my boyfriend was taking the picture and was trying to make me laugh.

Dress: H&M Last Season
Cardigan: Primark Sale
Belt: Primark
Tights: Tesco
Jewellery: Primark

It turned out being a nice afternoon after the sun decided to shine upon us and we had a fab  time enjoyed each other company and eating delious food like this lovely cake that a family member made.

I hope you had a brilliant Jubilee weekend what ever you did.

From Canada With Love

Hello, yesterday I receive a lovely package from the wonderful Kathryn from provincialbudgetbeauty I would say to you all go and check her out as she is wonderful and her blog is totally one of my favourites to read.

I have had my eye on E.L.F's brushes for a while but the problem is I like to touch and feel the brushes before I buy them, but the problem is E.L.F brushes are normally only available online. But while talking Kathryn one day I found out that a store in Canada where selling them, just my luck really. I told her that I wish the UK had something like that so I could feel the brushes and finally buy them.

Later on that day I receive an email from Kathryn saying that she was going to send me some E.L.F brushes I was so shock by how kind she was being and I love her for her kindness.

And this is what I receive from her.

2 eye brushes and a face brush

The brushes are soft which I love and if I get on with these ones then I will be totally buying some more so thank you again Kathryn for sending these to me you are the best.

Have any of you tried E.L.F brushes? If so what ones do think I should get next?

Happy Birthday Glossy Box

Yesterday I received my May Glossy Box which also happens to be their 1st birthday anniversary box 'Happy 1st Birthday Glossy Box'. I know this was a box that most people anticipated and I hope most of you were not disappointed in the box.

This is what I got in my anniversary box.
Left to Right: Noble Isle Bath and Shower Gel, Apivita Masks (full size £3.50), Osmo Hair Treatment (Full Size £19.99), Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfume/Si Lolita (Full Size £65/£63), Eldore False Eyelashes (Full Size £3.90) and Glossy Box Mirror and Happy Birthday Ballon.

The products were wrapped up in lovely birthday paper and I will totally use this paper again in some way has it is to nice to throw away.

I enjoyed this box but I didn't like the fragrance samples as I don't really use them and they will just get throw in my bag or into a box, but I did enjoy the hair treatment as I love hair treatments and this will be brilliant size for holiday as its small and will not take up to much room in your suitcase. I also like the fact that the box came with Eldora False Eyelashes and as I am an eyelashes virgin I will totally be put these into good use on my birthday night out in 3 months time.

Did you get the anniversary box? If so what did you think about it?

Charity Haul

Afternoon sweeties

Today's post is about what I have found in my local charity shops over the month so far. I love shopping in charity shops as you find items that you may not otherwise find. I will apologise about this post being picture heavy.

I will do non clothes first.

This picture frame cost me 49p, I brought it because it is blue with sunflowers on top my favourite colour and flower roll into one. I plan to take some pictures over the summer and place some in here as the frame reminds me of the summer.

These coasters cost me £1.29 the reason I brought these is because I love camper vans and I think these will look great once me and the boyfriend have our own house. I have already started to buy things for the house to save us money when we do move.

I brought this case for my nail wheels, nail files, top and base coats and anything for nails that is small. The case cost me £1.09 which I think is a bargain and will be prefect for my nail items.

Now for the clothes I have found.

This dress cost me £1.50 and it is a wonderful dress for the changing seasons the only downside is you need to wear a slip under the dress as it is see thought. I think this will look brilliant with a little brown belt and brown sandals in the spring and summer and little brown boots during autumn and winter.

I first need to apologise that's the cardigan is very creased this was in my bag over the weekend as it was very mix weather in the South East England. This cost me £1.99 and was brand new with the tags still in. I love that it light weight so brilliant when its a little chilly.

The no sleeve jumper was original from Topshop and cost me around £2 and will be brilliant during the changeable weather as this is good item to use to layer up.

This T.shirt is from the men's area of the charity shop but was place by mistake but I would totally say look in the men section as you can find great t.shirts and jumpers, I plan to wear this with a little black skirt and this cost me £2.

This skirt is original from Laura Ashley so totally something I would not be able to afford normally but in the charity shop it was only £1.99 bargain. I plan to wear this both as a maxi skirt with a little white t.shirt but also as a dress with a little brown belt around the waist. I love clothes that I can wear more then one way.

I brought this cardigan was around £2.50 and its cream and grey strip and goes prefect with a little t.shirt and jeans for a comfort/casual look.

This is a lovely summer dress top and cost me £1 and will look great with jeans.

This is from Monsoon orginail so totally would not be able buy this normally but in the charity shop this cost me £2.50 and would look lovely with my long blue cardgain that I already spoke about.

This is dress is a beach dress but I plan to wear it as an everyday dress by wearing a slip under it. I think it will look lovely as an everyday dress especially in the summer and it only cost me £2.45.

This beautiful yellow skirt cost me £3 and it's totally a colour for this season. The only down side is it's a little bit to big for me so my mummy is going to take it in for me which I love her for.

I love this skirt and its totally going to be my favourite skirt for the summer and this only cost me £2.
I love the mustard and purple print and with go with so much.

This short sleeve cardigan cost me only £1.50 and I thought was be brilliant in the summer when it is very hot but I don't want to get my shoulders burn as my shoulders do burn easy.

I brought this beach cover up mainly for my holiday in August and I didn't want to spend a fortune on a beach cover up as I will only wear it when I go to the beach which on holiday maybe only 3-4 times so not worth buying more pricey. This cost me only £3 which I think is value for money.

This ASOS dress only cost me £1.50 and it's a beautiful dress to wear all season as its netted and looks brilliant with boots or sandals.

I love this top and so far this as been my go to top it looks beautiful with Jeggings and the print is a lovely blue flower print which I love, I think this will be the item I wear the most over the summer and it only cost me £2 so I am a very happy bunny.

This cardigan cost me only £3 and looks lovely with a brilliant white dress.

And finally ......

This Topshop jumper which cost me £4.50 which is just under my £5 per item limit that I place on myself but I just fell in love with this jumper so I had to get it, it looks lovely with jeans and jeggings.

There finally we are done and I am sorry again I didn't know I brought so much stuff.

Have you been shopping in charity shop? How do you find charity shopping?
